The Louisville Koshin-Ha Karate School is a branch school (dojo) of the Koshin-Ha Chito-Ryu Karate Association and has been in continuous operation since 1975 and meets weekly in the BPBC gym. We are a traditional Japanese karate school with deep roots going back to Okinawa and China which means that we have structured workouts with improvement not only physically but mentally. Kata (forms) are the main way that we teach improvement in strikes, blocks, and kicks and also body movement and balance. We practice self-defense and its use only as the last alternative. Improvement in the areas of patience, courtesy, humility, courage and wisdom is our main goal. Find out more at www.louisvillekoshinha.com
