Food & Fellowship
Buechel Park is a church that opens our hearts and our building to our neighbors.
Senior Nutrition
The Senior Nutrition Program provides nutritious meals for all seniors age 60 and older regardless of income promoting health throughout the community. Senior Nutrition encourages sites to provide activities and fitness programs. Meals are delivered to most sites Monday through Friday. Reservations are required. Meals are catered by Masterson’s. Donations and volunteers appreciated.
Persons need to sign up by completing paperwork before they begin participating in the program (so the caterer will know how many lunches to make). To sign up and for more information, call 502-574-6325 or visit their web site. Information about Meals on Wheels also may be found on the web site.
Note: When Jefferson County Schools cancel classes or move to NTI, due to weather, Senior Nutrition sites are closed.
Louisville Metro Senior Nutrition programs are funded, in part, under a contract with KIPDA and the state Cabinet for Health and Family Services, with funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Louisville Metro Government and private donations from individuals and families.
Fellowship Fridays
5:30 – 7:00 pm, select Fridays Fellowship Hall
About once a month, we host a Friday gathering for the church and community. Meals are sometimes potluck and sometimes a meal prepared by our Hospitality Ministry Team. Following dinner, we will have a planned fellowship activity (Game Nights, Talent Show & Tell, Fall Festival, Summer Cookouts, and more). Please sign up with the church office by the Wednesday before each event. All are welcome.
